Consonic also manufactures Kiefel ASC (air assisted contact) welding systems under license. The Kiefel solution offers a controllable (measurable) heating, part clamping (identification) and forming process using one station. This technology allows for dowel and hole rivet welding across a wide range of products. The above application is for an automotive internal door panel and included part sensing and locating options. An added benefit of this machine is that both the upper and lower platens can be changed or altered to allow for other jobs or future part variations.
