History
Consonic Pty Ltd (formerly Consolidated Ultrasonics (NSW) Pty Ltd) was formed by Rex Vincent in 1969 to market the products of the Branson Sonic Power Company of Connecticut U.S.A.
In the mid 1970's the Company's good reputation with the Plastics Industry led to offers of representation for plastics machinery. The company set a policy of only handling top quality, high technology machinery, so the agencies taken on reflect that policy and complement our Engineering and Technical Services.
One of the first additional agencies accepted in 1973 was that of Ludwig Engel of Austria, manufacturers of Injection Moulding machines for plastics and rubber. From there, Consonic grew their agency base to represent a select number of other quality manufacturers, whose products can be viewed throughout this website.
Originally based in Roselle NSW, and later Leichhardt, Consonic expanded rapidly to the point where it commenced local manufacture of special purpose plastics joining machines incorporating Branson components. After the acquisition of W & H Henry (Engineering) in 1986, the company quickly built up considerable design and manufacturing expertise and it now exports machinery to other countries.
Due to continuing growth, Consonic moved to much larger premises in Seven Hills, Sydney towards the end of 1988, to accommodate our expanding design, manufacturing, engineering and service facilities. Later in 1999, a new factory was constructed right next door, with modern design, technical service, testing, showroom and training facilities.
Today, the emphasis on Consonic's business is firmly centered around turnkey operations - in addition to supplying individual pieces of equipment. We have in place a number of turnkey installations involving manufacturing cells based on the use of Engel injection moulding machines, Colortronic material handling systems and Branson plastic joining technology.
