End-of-Arm Robot Tooling
The majority of injection moulding machines supplied by Consonic include a fully integrated robot. Part take out end of arm tooling design utilises many of the benefits of 3D modelling and enables the customer to generate a virtual reality showing the concept tool, moulding machine, part ejection, part take out constraints, part orientation for downstream processing, etc. The case study above also included pluggable tool (electronic tool head identification) and coding, a quick change head connection system to maximise the customer's investment in quick tool change technology (magnetic platens, centralised down loading of machine and robot parameters plus quick connect water and hydraulic tooling manifolds).
