Romar Engineering has 5 manufacturing facilities in Australia and one in Singapore with a varied customer base including Bose, Apple, Motorola, Lilly and a number of German automotive manufacturers. Pictured is Managing Director Neil Wilson in front of their e-motion 100 tonne Engel in special medical execution.
Romar’s last 2 injection moulding machine acquisitions have been all electric machines. Neil has a long term view for his companies and sees any investment in cost reduction, in this case power savings, as a sensible investment. The current energy saving initiatives not only includes Engel all electric machines but also led lighting, upgrades to cleanrooms and roof mounted solar panels.
Also pictured is a second clean room with Engel (green) Tiebarless silicon moulding machines. Neil sees the Engel liquid silicon machine as an excellent solution with fully integrated processing software for trouble free moulding of silicon parts. Romar is a world leader in the moulding of silicon with extensive investment in tool design, chemical technology and even the patented development of servo injection test and insert machines.
Neil sees the future development of new technologies and processes as critical to the success of his businesses. To this purpose Romar looks to reliable partners like Engel and Consonic.
